Property management specialist NSM will manage three commercial sites on behalf of Liverpool developer Network Space including the former Lambrini site in Huyton. Tony McDonough reports
Liverpool developer Network Space has appointed property management specialist NSM to manage three developments totalling more than 1m sq ft.
They include the The 28-acre Sovereign Distillery, formerly the home of Lambrini maker Halewood Artisanal Spirits, in Huyton. The 446,151 sq ft site is to be refurbished and redeveloped in a multi-million pound scheme.
Network Space acquired the property in March for an undisclosed sum. The distillery was closed by Halewood last year after due to the impact of COVID-19. It was the production site for brands such as Liverpool Gin and Lambrini.
The family drinks business has now moved its headquarters to London with its distillery operation relocated to Chorley in Lancashire. It will still continue to occupy half of the Huyton site for storage and distribution through a lease back arrangement in the short to medium term.
St Helens-based NSM will manage the development along with two others in the North West:
A prime 11.4 acre site on Atlantic Street in South Manchester offering 220,000 sq ft of industrial warehouse space with redevelopment opportunities.
Newfield Industrial Estate in Tunstall, Stoke-on-Trent, a 125,000 sq ft multi-let industrial estate which is occupied by 20 businesses including global corporate Air Liquide and a number of successful local companies
NSM operates from offices in St Helen’s and Doncaster and will help the landlord maximise the value of the properties and their return on investment, as well as managing the day to day running of the estate and rent roll.
Nicky Jones, managing director of NSM, said: “These are three significant sites across the North West and will ultimately bring almost a million sq ft of new property for the team to manage.
“As some of the sites offer refurbishment and redevelopment potential we will build strong relationships with the existing tenants to effectively manage that process.”
NSM says it has continued to collect over 95% of all rents billed since lockdown started, working closely with tenants to provide support and advice about Government initiatives as well as managing staged payments.
