Applied Nutrition will supply Diet Protein to 365 Asda stores

Merseyside sports nutrition business Applied Nutrition has struck a supply deal with Asda – its first with a major supermarket chain.

This month Applied Nutrition’s Diet Protein powder will go on sale in 365 Asda stores. It also saw its Keto Collagen and Greens nutrient boost products appear in 80 stores for the first time in July.

From its headquarters and manufacturing facility in Knowsley, Applied Nutrition sells its products, which include pre-workout powders and healthy lifestyle drinks, to more than 70 countries worldwide. It has annual sales of £22m.

Its Diet Protein is a weight management supplement, combining all of the main ingredients known to support weight management. These include CLA, l-carnitine, green tea, whey protein isolate and whey protein concentrate.

The resulting product is a low-carbohydrate, high-protein shake. The company claimed it is suited to build and repair lean muscle while keeping body fat low.
