Property services consultancy The Momentum Group doubles size of its Liverpool city centre office to accommodate extra staff. Tony McDonough reports
Liverpool property services consultancy The Momentum Group has doubled the size of its Liverpool city centre office.
It now occupies the entire first floor of the Grade II-listed building, One Temple Square, after agreeing to take an extra 1,800 sq ft on a six-year lease. The extra space will support Momentum’s growing construction and project management divisions.
Over the past year it has won multiple new contracts. As a result it has grown its team from 25 people to 48.
The Momentum Group was founded by Chris Bliss, former estates director at Liverpool ONE, and Chris Renshaw, former senior retail delivery manager at Heathrow.
New work secured includes the fit out and delivery of the 100,000 sq ft Gravity Active Entertainment venue in Liverpool’s former Debenhams store and the fit-out of Urban Playground at Manchester Arndale.
And in early April LBN reported the firm had secured the fit out and delivery contract for esports venue Level Tap, which will be located in Hanover Street in Liverpool ONE.
There have also been significant property management instructions for Aviation House in Speke and for Bramley House in Guildford. Momentum’s facilities management division has also secured deals for Liverpool’s Oriel Chambers and Runcorn Shopping Centre.
Chris Renshaw said: “These are exciting times for us and this is a key milestone in the business trajectory of The Momentum Group as we approach another with our fifth birthday later in the year.
“We have been appointed on some big projects in the last 12 months with more to announce soon.
“Doubling our office footprint not only gives us the space we need for our current and future growth but also this high-quality office space in the heart of the city will help us to continue to attract and retain talent, as well as improve our client and meeting areas.”
Momentum’s current client list includes Grosvenor, Redevco, Queensbury, Yakel, Schroders and Appreciate Group.
Chris Bliss added: “Our expansion on the one hand reflects the rapid success of The Momentum Group, and on the other paves the way for more growth.
“There was no need for us to look for a new base, given the space available here in a wonderful building that has long been an architectural landmark on Dale Street and for which we already provide facilities management.”
Glenbrook acted for landlord Rocksavage Investments on the six-year lease.
