LCR Angel Network is rebranding as Gateway Angels seven years after it was founded.

Backed by MSIF, the entity provides a gateway for angel investors seeking high-potential investment opportunities in the city region’s start-up ecosystem.

Founded in 2017 as the first network of Angel Investors in Merseyside, Gateway Angels will continue to be supported by MSIF under its new brand, providing operational resources and strategic guidance.

Branding and marketing agency Poke Marketing is behind the new branding. As well as the new name and logo, Poke has built a new website and designed new marketing materials.

Since its inception, the angel network has facilitated millions of pounds in investment across a wide range of sectors, including the healthcare, technology, and environmental sectors.

Gateway Angels connects business angels with early stage and high growth SMEs. An angel investor is typically a high net worth individual who provides capital for start-ups or early-stage ventures in exchange for convertible debt or ownership equity.
