Scheme on a large plot on Carnatic Road in Mossley Hill, is designed by the Liverpool studio of Falconer Chester Hall and will comprise 15 apartments
Planners in Liverpool have given the go-head for a project comprising 15 luxury apartments in the south of the city.
The development, on a large plot on Carnatic Road in Mossley Hill, designed by the Liverpool studio of Falconer Chester Hall (FCH) for a local developer, was approved at Tuesday’s planning hearing.
The 30,000 sq ft scheme replaces an inter-war single dwelling on the site to make more efficient use of the large footprint just 50 yards from the eastern boundary of the 235-acre Sefton Park.
“It’s a confident, contemporary rendition of apartment living that uses the popular local palette of red sandstone as a keynote design signature,” said project architect Martin Haymes of FCH.
“The development retains a large front and rear garden space and sits very well within the established, leafy setting. The use of large balconies brings the outdoors into each home and will be a popular feature.”
Zerum acted as planning consultant on the development, with landscape design by DEP. The scheme incorporates 29 car parking spaces, as well as provision for residents’ cycles.
