Leading Liverpool caterer Relish has taken over management of the events space at the iconic Royal Liver Building in Liverpool. Tony McDonough reports
Liverpool catering firm Relish has taken over management of The Venue, the hospitality space at the city’s Royal Liver Building.
Relish will be managing all events in the space, located inside the Royal Liver Building, one of the city’s world famous Three Graces, as well as continuing in its capacity as primary caterer for the entire building.
A particular favourite for weddings and corporate events The Venue boasts clean, modern decor with two large spaces. It offers spectacular views across the waterfront and the Pier Head as well as the River Mersey.
The Venue also boasts a private balcony that has stunning views no matter what time of day. The perfect location for a sunset drinks reception or the perfect photo opportunity; capture scenic backdrops of the cityscape and clock towers.
Chris Foulkes and Kiara Mako, owners and directors of Relish, said: “The Venue has long been one of the city’s favourite places to celebrate all of life’s best occasions. We intend to continue this tradition by offering an incredible, adaptable space with world class event planners, food, and service – in the most iconic building in the North West.
“We will build on the brilliant reputation the Venue has created for first class events, and our team is committed to helping people build their events exactly how they dreamt it to be.
“We have waited so long to break this news and cannot wait to start this new chapter of The Relish Group. If you would like to work with us on building a spectacular event in the most iconic building in the North West, please get in touch.”
Relish is well established in Liverpool as a caterer for large events. At the height of the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, when its events work dried up, the company pivoted to provide thousands of meals to vulnerable people across the North West.
Operating from a 12,000 sq ft preparation kitchen and central operations hub, Relish was able to provide up to 5,000 pre-prepared meals a day and use its own fleet of catering vans to deliver to charities, schools, community centres, homeless shelters, housing associations, care facilities and hospitals.
