The new executive chef will be tasked with creating tasting menus and with designing exclusive menus for private functions at Signature Living’s new Cunard Building restaurant, which is set to open later this year. Andrew Wright reports.
Signature Living is looking for the next Gordon Ramsay or Michel Roux Jr to lead the company’s new restaurant at its new Liverpool venue, the iconic Cunard Building.
The award-winning company- which has numerous venues across the city, including the Shankly Hotel- is searching for someone to lead the food and beverage side of the new project.
The company believes that the Cunard, a Grade II listed building at the Pier Head, will be the city’s ‘most stunning new brasserie, restaurant and events space’ when it is unveiled later this year.
There will be a central brasserie, with smaller rooms available for private dining, events and private tutored dining.
The restaurant will be open to diners four nights a week, serving between 40-50 guests, with the opportunity for the restaurant to be secured for exclusive usage.
Signature Living is searching for an individual with experience in working with fine dining cuisine, and the ideal candidate would be currently working as a senior sous or head chef.
The developers are planning on the new restaurant being of the highest standard, with the new chef coming on board having ideally previously worked in a high level environment.
Mike Mounfield says: “Our new venture will take our dining offer to a whole new level so we are looking for the very best.
“We want someone with ambitions to be the next Blanc, Roux or Stein, we want someone who wants to make a real name for themselves in the industry and our search starts now.”
