Sisters Kayleigh and Talia Baccino are opening a new pasta restaurant at Royal Albert Dock, their third food and drink venue in Liverpool.
Pasta Cosa opens its doors on Friday, October 24. Kayleigh and Talia opened their first Pasta Cosa in Castle Street in 2016 in a £100,000 investment. In May 2024 they launched Francie’s Focaccia & Coffee at Royal Albert Dock.
Now Pasta Cosa will join their portfolio offering freshly made pasta and “authentic Italian flavours”.
This latest venture joins other established food and drink venues at the dock including Maray, Madre, Lunyalita and Rosa’s Thai. In the past 18 months other new independent venues have opened up including Delhi House and Bar Glue.
It means 90,000 sq ft of Royal Albert Dock is now dedicated to food and beverage. Jacob Loftus, chief executive of dock owner and operator General Projects, said: “We’re delighted to have Kayleigh and Talia expand their wonderful business here.
“It’s fantastic to see that our relationship with existing operators has helped facilitate the growth of Pasta Cosa, all whilst bolstering our ambition to curate a more independent, exciting F&B offering at the dock.
“Their commitment to authentic, high-quality food in a welcoming, relaxed setting is a perfect fit for the dock’s vibrant dining scene. We know they will be a huge success and a fantastic addition to our diverse offering, for both residents and visitors.”

The sisters’ other Royal Albert Dock outlet, Francie’s Focaccia & Coffee, is named after their grandad Frank, known as Francie, whose roots were in the northern city of Genoa – which is also the birthplace of focaccia.
It offers a menu of freshly baked focaccia filled with Italian cheeses, cooked meats and deli toppings such as truffle paste, hot honey and sun-dried tomatoes, the majority of which have been imported directly from Italy.
