University of Liverpool Central Teaching Laboratories have been named as one of the top 10 in a list of the 30 most eco-friendly science labs in the world, according to Grad School Hub.
Grad School Hub, whose new article lists the most amazing eco-friendly science labs in universities across the globe, believes that this information will help conscientious students to choose an universities with greener reputations, potentially boosting demand and funding for these innovations and the universities themselves.
The study takes into account four factors, including certifications, leadership in the implementation of green initiatives, commitment to sustainable buildings, and aesthetics. It goes on to provide prospective students with images and specific local information to show which colleges will best support their aim to live a sustainable lifestyle.
University of Liverpool’s Central Teaching Laboratories were highlighted, putting it on par with American universities like Harvard, Yale, Carnegie Mellon. Other UK universities praised by the report included Nottingham, Aberyswyth and St. Andrews.
Particular praise was given to the University of Liverpool’s unique rainwater harvesting system that complements an array of solar panels.
