Specialist working-at-height safety consultancy Heightsafe is adding eight people to its workforce to meet rising demand for its expertise.
Based in Wirral, the firm family-owned business is celebrating its 10th anniversary this year and employs more than 60 people across its nationwide network of offices and helps its customers improve the safety of people who work at height.
It latest additions cover specialists in roofing and cladding, rope access and compliance. The news of the expansion comes as statistics from the Health & Safety Executive (HSE) show that falls from height continue to be the UK’s biggest workplace killer.
Its latest report on workplace fatalities unveiled that in the last year 40 workers have lost their lives due to falls from a height, representing a 14% rise from 2017.
Supporting more than 12,000 clients in diverse industries including construction, transport, infrastructure, agriculture, education and leisure, Heightsafe is focused on raising awareness, educating and encouraging employers to make Work at Height a safe and secure activity.
