Digital educational specialist Angel Solutions has announced the speaker line-up for its RefreshED 2019 one-day festival aimed at education professionals.
Taking place at Liverpool Hope University on Friday, May 24, the theme for this year’s event is ‘A breath of fresh air for education’ and will include interactive workshops from renowned education experts.
They will include Jaz Ampaw Farr, a former contestant on BBCTV’s The Apprentice, who is now a best-selling author and an advisor to Governments on education; Shonette Bason-Wood, an international speaker and award-winning author; and Pran Patel who has 14-plus years of teaching experience and recently featured in a BBC documentary Why teaching is making me ill.
Running from 9am until 5pm, RefreshED is aimed at headteachers, senior leaders, subject coordinators and assessment leads and is billed as an “education festival with a difference”.
Its focus is on teacher wellbeing, mental health and curriculum – as well as Ofsted framework debunking – and there is a pick and mix of workshop choices, with something to suit everyone.
Tickets are £100 each and include three keynote speakers, a choice of workshops, refreshments throughout the day, a goody bag including a book worth £15, a drink at the bar post-event and some “surprise treats”.
