Barclays announces support for Mencap Liverpool Comedy Night

Local charity Mencap Liverpool will be holding their second annual Comedy night on Thursday 11th June.

Mencap provide a range of support services for adults with learning disabilities and those on the autistic spectrum in the city and Barclays has just revealed it will be supporting the night via its team from their local contact centre in Wavertree.

The event is back by popular demand after becoming a city-wide draw in 2014 and this year has already signed up comedians Sam Avery, Ste Porter and Dave Twentyman, along with headline act Danny McLoughlin!

Sam Avery said:

“I’m really looking forward to it, it’s a top line up for a really good cause. I know last year’s show was great too.”

Mencap Liverpool Chief Executive, Sarah Jones, commented:

“We are delighted to be bringing  this event back after raising a great amount last year. We rely on voluntary income to fund our work and this is a fantastic way of engaging the community to support local people with a learning disability and their families.”

Tickets are now available via Eventbrite at www.mencapliverpoolcomedynight.eventbrite.co.uk or by calling into the Mencap Liverpool Office on Lydia Ann Street in the city and are priced at just £10.00.
