Merseyside beauty venture Dolls House has celebrated its first year in business with a glitzy party at the Dockside Dining Club in Liverpool city centre.
Originally a small salon in Maghull opened in 2010, the business was relaunched as a three-floor salon and training academy in Kirkby by founders Amy Guy and sisters Charlotte and Molly Kirk in December 2017.
The academy is home to more than 20 beauty practitioners artists who offer treatments, including lashes and brows, make-up, nails, pedicures, skincare, waxing and aesthetics. Each is supported to develop their skills. In a bid to help others succeed and the academy also offers a range of training courses and masterclasses, as well as free online video tutorials.
The Dockside party was attended by “influencers, fashionistas, artists and entrepreneurs from the world of fashion and beauty” with the theme of #girlpowerisatrend.
Partygoers sipped cocktails while “indulging in a little retail therapy” from a number of beauty and fashion brands, retouching at the glam stations and posing for selfies in the photo booths whilst being serenaded by a live acoustic singer Clare Sophia with music also from DJ Mark Ingham.
Charlotte Kirk co-owner of The Dolls House Group, said: “The event was everything we imagined it would be and so much more. To have so many inspiring women all in the same room, socialising and getting to know each other, was exactly what we wanted.
“We even got to meet the people who support us on social media and people who inspire us. It couldn’t have been a more amazing night.”
