Bebington Glazing gives clear perspective on homebuyers’ top property must-haves
North West double glazing firm Bebington Glazing says that prospective homebuyers are putting practicality ahead of aesthetics when it comes to buying a new property.
A recent survey undertaken by GoCompare Mortgages has found that warmth and energy-efficiency are key priorities for today’s homebuyers, with double-glazing topping the list for 74% of those surveyed.
The report finds that central heating and double-glazing are considered to be more important to homebuyers than a garden (71%), local shops and amenities (55%) and a reliable broadband connection (53%), which Managing Director of Bebington Glazing Kay Finlay finds to be ‘consequent of long-term strategic thinking’.
Kay said:
“These new statistics are not surprising – not only can double-glazing add significant value to a property, it can also notably reduce the on-going costs of running a home long after the initial purchase. For those who are looking to sell their home sooner rather than later or further down the line, the installation of double-glazing can reap financial benefits for years to come.
“Especially with the current climate in mind, modern homebuyers are putting practicality at the top of their list ahead of perhaps more frivolous features such as off-road parking, a bath tub and even friendly neighbours. Here at Bebington Glazing, we understand the importance of essential home additions such as double-glazing when purchasing a property.”
Located in New Ferry, Bebington Glazing has become renowned across the North West for specialising in bespoke glass installation and repairs on both residential and commercial properties. In addition to glazing services, the independent firm also fits safety glass, lead lights, glass balconies and balustrades.
Kay added:
“Whether a home needs double-glazing fitting, replacing or repairing, we are here to help. With a number of notable benefits including heat insulation, a reduced carbon footprint and noise reduction, double-glazing can be a worthwhile investment even if you’re not thinking of putting your property on the market for a long time.”
