UK-wide bed retailer dreams has signed up for new space at two Derwent retail parks in Liverpool and Manchester
National bed retailer Dreams has signed a 10-year lease at Liverpool Shopping Park.
Dreams will occupy a 10,021 sq ft unit on the lifestyle section of Liverpool Shopping Park, which is already home to B&Q and fronts on to Edge Lane. The retailer is also moving to a larger unit at White City Retail Park in Manchester.
James Maule-Finch, senior asset manager for The Derwent Group, which owns both Liverpool Shopping Park and White City Retail Park, said: “This is excellent news for both retail parks as it builds on our relationship with Dreams and reiterates that retailers are still willing to commit to high footfall locations and open new sites, even in a very challenging market.”
CSP acted for The Derwent Group at White City, and CSP and McMullen RE at Liverpool Shopping Park.
White City Retail Park and Liverpool Shopping Park are owned by The Derwent Group which is part of the Albert Gubay Charitable Foundation and operates across the retail, leisure, industrial and commercial sectors.
The Derwent Group has a commercial property portfolio of 3m sq ft, including 2.1m sq ft of retail and leisure space. Through The Albert Gubay Charitable Foundation, The Derwent Group generates grants to charitable causes in excess of £10m per year.
