One of the oldest businesses in Liverpool,  Bibby Line Group has unveiled two new chief executives and two of its subsidiaries. Tony McDonough reports

Marine asset provider Bibby Marine has appointed Nigel Quinn as chief executive to lead the company through its next phase of development.

Bibby Marine owns and operates six nearshore floating accommodation vessels. It is a subsidiary of Bibby Line Group, one of Liverpool’s oldest businesses and now a diversified group turning over around £800m a year. 

Mr Quinn will take up the position from his current role as chief executive of another Bibby Line Group subsidiary, Garic. Mark Albiston, currently operations director at Garic will now move into the Garic chief executive role. The changes are effective from July 1.

Joining the group in 2017 to lead its Hydromap business, Mr Quinn has held a number of senior roles in the asset hire sector. His experience across marine and asset hire industries leaves him well placed to take the business forward.

Bibby Marine works with a range of clients from construction through to hospitality, as well as operating two Walk to Work Service Operations Vessels; the award-winning Bibby WaveMaster 1 and Bibby WaveMaster Horizon.

With a background in engineering, Mark Albiston offers proven leadership, technical and commercial skills developed in the manufacturing, logistics, consultancy and plant hire sectors.
