Bilfinger GVA announces senior appointments in Liverpool

Stephen Cowperthwaite has been promoted to regional senior director of the Bilfinger GVA Liverpool office, with effect from Tuesday 1st September 2015.

Stephen has taken on the role to allow his predecessor Patrick Whitby to lead on the expanding Nuclear Decommissioning Authority (NDA) estate services contract. This is a substantial commission for Bilfinger GVA and its Energy and Natural Resources Business Unit. With 17 sites spread throughout the UK, the change in emphasis will provide a high level of client and business focus for company.

Stephen has over 25 years’ experience in the property market specialising in the retail sector, advising major food retailers, large space occupiers, high street retailers and landlords on a broad spectrum of property related matters. Stephen has previously worked at GL Hearn, Mason Owen and the Valuation Office Agency.

His promotion will see him lead and strengthen the Liverpool team’s Northern offer which has seen significant growth. Bilfinger GVA has now been in Liverpool for over 10 years and has seen its turnover increase substantially over the last two years with a corresponding increase in staff numbers to the current level of thirty.
