Renewable bioenergy specialist Fleetsolve has appointed Roger Pearson as its new managing director.

In December last year Fleetsolve relocated its headquarters from Cheshire to Bromborough in Wirral. It announced a £150m expansion, capitalising on the soaring demand for cleaner energy.

Over the course of the COVID-19 pandemic, the firm has continued to grow by renewing several major customer contracts, winning new customers and signing major international partnerships with engine manufacturers.

The next phase of growth includes the development of new energy services which are designed to provide customers with low-carbon, affordable and resilient heat and power.

Mr Pearson will lead on a number of these developments including the imminent launch of Fleetsolve’s e-commerce platform for its engine manufacturer parts business.

Fleetsolve specialises in the design, manufacture, installation, fuelling and maintenance of biofuel combined heat and power (CHP) systems under a power purchase agreement or traditional equipment. They also maintain and service similar units that run on natural gas and bio-gas.

Mr Pearson offers 10 years’ experience in the renewable heating and power market. Prior to joining Fleetsolve, he was the managing director of AMP Clean Energy’s biomass fuel business. He led the growth of the venture, seeing turnover soar from £500,000 to £30m.

He said: “I’m thrilled to take on the mantle of managing director. Being entrusted to lead the continued growth of Fleetsolve and its people is an exciting opportunity. I’m looking forward to contributing further to Fleetsolve’s future success.”

His appointment comes as Fleetsolve strengthens its senior management team. Damian Shevloff has ten up the newly-created position of chief development officer and Mark Lamont has been appointed to the newly-created position of technical services director.

Fleetsolve chief executive Keith O’Connor added: “As a recognised industry expert and leader, Roger’s appointment further boosts our executive team and will be instrumental in helping us to achieve our ambitious growth plans.

“Roger is joining us at an exciting time with several major projects in the pipeline over the coming months. His experience in building an operational structure that supports customer experience and growth, makes him the perfect fit to propel Fleetsolve forward.”
