Bruntwood launch pioneering programme of events for customers in Liverpool

Bruntwood has launched a pioneering new events programme for customers in its Liverpool properties.

The wide-ranging programme focusses on three key areas – wellbeing, networking and business support – and is part of the family-owned firm’s commitment to building strong communities across its portfolio.

Many of the events, which include everything from meditation, pilates and intensity fitness to funding seminars and breakfast networking, are free of charge and will take place in the Commercial District at Cotton Exchange or at The Plaza, but are open to all of Bruntwood’s Liverpool customers.

Bruntwood also hopes to use its experience of managing science parks to benefit Liverpool’s commercial district by promoting what it calls “knowledge transfer” among peer businesses and encouraging them to share good ideas and develop partnerships close to home, rather than going elsewhere.

Colin Sinclair, director of workspace development at Bruntwood, said:

“We believe that a key part of our responsibility to customers is to help them grow in any way we can, whether that’s through staff development, expanding their commercial network or improving their bottom line.

“This new events programme is the largest of its kind in the city and reinforces our commitment to creating a sense of place in our Liverpool properties and supporting the development of the wider commercial district offer.

“The business support seminars are geared towards helping entrepreneurs manage many of the unforeseen issues around running a business, while the networking events are in tandem with the likes of Downtown in Business, the IoD and Professional Liverpool, meaning the opportunities for customers are almost endless.

“Customers and their staff can access a huge range of events, many at no cost, while also making new introductions and enhancing their professional profile. We are also proud to have the opportunity to work alongside a number of our customers who are supplying their expertise at these events.

“Through our work in science parks and film studios, we’ve seen the value of knowledge transfer between neighbouring businesses and we are confident our programme of events can help a similar culture of sharing and togetherness flourish here in Liverpool.”

The Bruntwood Liverpool events programme begins on Thursday 15th October with a smoking cessation workshop led by meditation expert Nicola Forshaw of Mindfit and is closely followed by a series of business support seminars in conjunction with the Liverpool BID Company.
