Builder Frank Rogers has directly delivered more than £4m in social value
Construction and fire safety firm Frank Rogers has generated £4.02m of measured social value through its employment, skills, community, wellbeing and environmental activity.
Liverpool-based Frank Rogers has a long and proud track record of delivering social value in the communities in which it operates, with activity extending far beyond individual contractual commitments.
During 2025/26 the business recorded £140,819 of direct community investment, supported 56 organisations and delivered more than 400 hours of staff volunteering.
The firm’s head of marketing and communications, Rachel Walker, told LBN: “A lot of businesses will deliver real value, but some will treat it as a box-ticking exercise and do the bare minimum. That isn’t what we do. We will always go above and beyond what is required.
“This is a family-founded business that is aware of its roots. We think it is vital the work that we do directly benefits the communities we serve.”

Rachel is also lead on the FR Foundation and has extensive knowledge and experience in driving social change and impact. She is a FAIR Ambassador and sits on a number of professional boards and committees to extend that work and exchange knowledge.
The Foundation has supported organisations working across mental health, education, sport, children and young people, community wellbeing and support for vulnerable people.
Support ranges from direct donations and sponsorship to staff volunteering, fundraising, materials, equipment and practical construction works.
Recent activity has included donations to foodbanks, schools and community hubs, staff volunteering days and in-kind support to improve local community facilities.
Mental health and wellbeing are a core priority, with £33,126 invested during the reporting period to support community health and wellbeing initiatives, including a direct donation to Mindflow— a charity that aims to tackle the mental health crisis in the UK construction sector.
And the firm has invested heavily in its own people too, spending £58,061 on training and development and delivering 815 hours of employee upskilling and progression.
Almost 90% of employees are retained year-on-year, while nearly one in four members of the workforce has been with Frank Rogers for more than a decade.
The business has also invested in widening access to the industry and improving representation. During the reporting period, Frank Rogers invested £17,040 in gender equity and representation initiatives.

Frank Rogers managing director Dean Rogers, who was last week named Business Leader of the year at the national Employers Excellence Awards, said launching the Foundation had been “one of the proudest moments in my career”.

He added: “Social Value is not just something we commit to at tender stage, it is something we actively deliver through our people, our projects and our partnerships.
“As a firm Frank Rogers delivers every contract we take on to a high standard. We could choose to say, ‘OK, we did a good job there, time to move on’. But we hold ourselves to a higher standard than that.
“When we are working in a community, we look to become part of it. Engaging with people across those communities is hugely important to us.
“It is about delivering on our promises and going even further. For us, successful delivery isn’t only about the physical work – it is about whether the community is better off because we were there.”
