Liverpool Chamber of Commerce is to hold its 2022 Innovation in Business Awards at the World Museum for the first time.
Nominations are now open for the awards. They celebrate businesses and individuals who have driven their organisation forward through the year. Winners will be announced at a gala dinner at the William Brown Street venue on Thursday, November 17.
Each category presents a traditional award to an outstanding business in the field. Alongside this is a supplementary special award for an innovator that has modernised to the advantage of their business, team and wider community.
Four new award categories have been added this year. These include Customer Excellence, New Business, plus two new Responsible Business awards for Social & Governance and Environment.
Other categories include International, Skills & Employability and Young Person. There are also two categories for Business of the Year for firms with more or fewer than 30 employees.
Liverpool Chamber patron Blok ‘N’ Mesh is the headline sponsor of this year’s awards. They will present a special Chair’s Award on the night. Around 350 guests are expected with an after-show event at DWNTWN on Harrington Street.
Paul Cherpeau, chief executive of Liverpool Chamber, said: “We look forward to celebrating the resilience and innovation of so many fantastic businesses across the Liverpool city region.
“We are especially excited that for the first time the awards ceremony will be held at the World Museum. It is a world leader in preserving history and celebrating innovation and the perfect venue.”
