A Merseyside chamber of commerce is looking to fill more than 30 apprenticeship vacancies across the Liverpool city region.

St Helens Chamber says the apprenticeships are open to young people aged 16 to 24. They cover a range of roles and business sectors, including manufacturing, logistics and the care sector.

Laura Brogden, head of career development at St Helens Chamber, said: “Local businesses are really keen to hire talented young people as their businesses start to reopen, so there are some fantastic opportunities for people to get their career started.”

With a range of vacancies on offer, St Helens Chamber is seeking young people who may be looking to take the first step in their careers. Applicants with little or no work experience will be supported through the chamber’s ‘fast-track to apprenticeships’ programme to make sure they stand the best chance of success when applying.

Laura added: “An apprenticeship is a fantastic alternative to higher education, and gives young people the chance to get real, paid experience alongside completing their qualifications, giving them a fantastic start to their working life and progression for our Apprentices is excellent.

We work closely with thousands of businesses across Merseyside, so we’re constantly getting new and exclusive vacancies through and are happy to chat with anyone who is thinking of taking that first step.”

Justo some of the vacancies available, include:

There are plenty more live roles on St Helens Chamber’s website, and applications are welcome from anyone aged 16-24 looking to start their career.

“We’re keen to fill these roles and give as many people as possible the opportunity to apply, so I’d encourage anyone who is interested to get in touch asap before these roles are snapped up,” said Laura.
