Christmas Jumper Day comes just once a year- but why wait until mid-December to get your festive knit on?

With the festive party season well and truly underway, novelty knitwear is becoming commonplace across the city’s bars and restaurants, including at Bierkeller. Andrew Wright reports.

The Liverpool ONE venue loves a good snowman, Christmas tree or Rudolph sweater, and is inviting the people of Merseyside to join them in donning their festive jumpers.

In addition, the entertainment complex has especially created a selection of seasonal cocktails.

The Christmas tipples include the Absolut Sleigh Ride- a fruity combination of Absolut citron, triple sec, cranberry and lime- and the Christmas Colada, consisting of malibu, orange, pineapple and cherry sour.

Isaac Mayne, head of marketing and promotions for Bierkeller, says the bar is looking forward to creating a special party atmosphere for its customers this Christmas.

He commented: “The decorations are up and we’re all ready to help people have a fabulous Christmas night out in Liverpool. We’ve added the three new Christmassy cocktails to our regular drinks menu of beers, wines, spirits and steins, and we’d love to see our customers getting dressed for the occasion in their best Christmas jumpers. Whether it’s Rudolphs, Santas, snowmen or penguins … they’re all welcome come and join in the festive fun at The Bierkeller.”
