The tour will kick off in March and comes to St George’s Hall on Friday December 1 2017.

The Lancashire comic is celebrating the 30th anniversary of his comedy career in 2017 with a 19-date tour – Juggling On a Motorbike.

Juggling On A Motorbike will see the Phoenix Nights star look back on his journey from working class lad to chief biomedical scientist to comedy performer and writer.

Dave Spikey had been working in the NHS for 19 years as a biomedical scientist when he first turned his hand to comedy, in 1987

Only a few short months later, he was crowned the winner of the national talent show Stairway to the Stars.

St George’s Hall manager, Alan Smith said: “Luckily for us, Dave Spikey decided to hang up his microscope and concentrate on a career in comedy that fateful day and has since provided many years of laughter.

“We can’t wait to welcome him to St George’s Hall and know he will have our audience in stitches!”

Dave Spikey will be bringing his tour through Liverpool on December 1.
