Deliciously gluten free event at Trattoria 51 this Sunday
In a bid to raise awareness of the wide food options available to coeliac sufferers, Trattoria 51 is set to host an exclusive gluten free event on Sunday, March 29.
From 2pm, the popular Old Hall Street venue will welcome members of the public during a special Sunday opening, which will offer guests an insight into ‘how to lead a flavoursome coeliac lifestyle’.
As the eatery now offers gluten free variations of 95% of its entire menu, throughout the day guests of all ages will be able to sample an extensive selection of authentic Italian speciality dishes.
Restaurateur Attilio Sergi said:
“Having served a great choice of coeliac options since opening our first establishment in Southport back in 2011, we have continued to develop our gluten free offerings in order to cater for a variety of palates. We were also the first restaurant in the UK to partner with DS Gluten Free to launch a range of gluten free meals.
“As more people are opting to lead a coeliac lifestyle for both health reasons and personal preference – we thought it would be great to host a special gluten free event that showcases what we have to offer. Therefore, we would like to invite everyone including families with children, to come along to learn more about all things coeliac, and of course, enjoy delicious gluten free Italian food.
“Also, we want to celebrate the fact that gluten free food no longer has to taste bland and boring, due the steady increase in specialist food production and preparation.”
After enjoying a welcome drink on arrival, guests will be treated to a selection of gluten free Italian favourites including various pizzas, pastas, meat dishes and desserts, as well as a range of gluten free beverages including the award-winning CELIA organic craft lager and Estrella Daura. A raffle will also take place during the afternoon to help raise funds for the UK’s leading coeliac disease charity, Coeliac UK.
Attilio added:
“We hope that the event will be highly enjoyable and beneficial for everyone that attends. Whether it be families looking for child-friendly gluten free food inspiration or those who simply want to broaden their culinary options – we are excited to showcase our quality dishes, whilst sharing our coeliac knowledge amongst guests.”
The gluten free event will take place at Trattoria 51 Liverpool on Sunday, March 29 from 2pm.
Tickets are priced at £10 per person/£5.95 for children and can be purchased online at www.trattoria51.com or by calling 0151 236 4739. The event is sponsored by DS Gluten Free (Dr. Schär UK).
