Delifonseca to host a duo of food and drink events
Delifonseca is hosting a duo of mouth-watering foodie events, beginning this week.
The award-winning eatery will hold two separate events, one in its Dockside restaurant and the other in its Stanley Street ‘Downstairs’ bar.
Kick starting the merriments on Thursday, September 25, will be the Californian Wine Evening with Jeremy Cowan from Liberty Wines. To accompany the wine talk, an impressive four course set tapas menu will be served to complement the red and white variations being quaffed and discussed.
Proprietor Candice Fonseca said:
“Throughout the evening, guests not only get to sample fine US wines, they will also learn about its history and production, courtesy of the leading wine expert. The paired menu will also offer food for thought when it comes to understanding what wines accompany certain dishes.”
Taking place the next day (Friday, 26) in the Dockside venue will be the eatery’s infamous Fishy Phantasmagoria. Set to showcase an array on inventive seafood delights, the evening will offer guests a truly unique dining experience.
To begin their fish feast, diners will be treated to starter platter heaving with fantastic seafood elements. Next a Lobster and Langoustine Bisque followed by a main course of Fillet of Halibut in Lemon Grass Scented Broth served with Crushed Herby Potatoes and Spinach. Those with a sweet tooth can then enjoy a dessert that combines a White Chocolate Mousse with crushed New Brighton Rock amongst other things!
Candice added:
“We are very much looking forward to welcoming both new and familiar faces for evenings packed with fine wine and great food.
“Over the years we’ve built up a reputation for holding specialist food events and to be honest the main motivation for them has been pleasure – we really enjoying hosting them!”
The Californian wine evening will take place on Thursday, September 25, at Delifonseca Stanley Street from 7:30pm and is priced at £29.95 per person.
Fishy Phantasmagoria will take place on Friday, September 26, at Delifonseca Dockside Street from 5pm and is priced at £38 per person.
