Warrington businesswoman Jen Perry has been included in Great Taste’s Power List of 100 Women leading the Food & Drink Industry and had her business shortlisted as Best Hospitality Provider in the Warrington Business Awards.

Ms Perry is the only Warrington woman included in the list Great Taste Powerlist which was published in the last few weeks. The accolades came at the same time as her business, Room Forty, an award winning mobile Afternoon Tea Emporium and Baking School was celebrating its second birthday.

Founded in 2016, Room Forty has been holding bread-baking classes in Warrington, Lymm, Grappenhall and Rainford, St Helens, and in the last few weeks has started holding sessions in South Liverpool.

She said: “I’m flattered and frankly overwhelmed to have made it onto the Power list and to have been shortlisted for a Warrington Business Award. For these accolades to have come on Room Forty’s second birthday is the cherry on top of the cake for me, if you’ll excuse the terrible baking pun.

Room Forty allows me the honour of playing a part in other people’s special day be it an anniversary, birthday, wedding, workplace reward to thank staff for hard work or whatever. It’s a lovely privilege.

I’m proud to say that the business is going from strength to strength. We are very busy with our afternoon teas and vintage china hire and struggling to keep up with demand for our baking classes.”
