Hong Kong/Chinese-led Liverpool-based accountancy firm Oscar Ip & Co scoops two accolades at the national Accounting Excellence Awards 2025. Tony McDonough reports

Liverpool-based accountancy firm Oscar Ip & Co is celebrating winning two awards at the national Accounting Excellence Awards 2025.

Hong Kong/Chinese-led Oscar Ip & Co, which was established in Liverpool in 2005, also has an office in Birmingham. Managing partner Oscar Ip says his mission is to “build bridges between the UK, Hong Kong, and beyond”.

At the awards the firm won the Gold Award for Tax Team of the Year (Small Firm) and the Silver Award for Marketing Campaign of the Year.

Oscar said the awards mark an “historic milestone”, putting it among the first Hong Kong/Chinese-founded accounting firms in the UK to receive such high honours in both tax excellence and marketing innovation within the same year.

He added the Tax Team of the Year award “reflects the dedication, technical expertise, and client-first approach that underpin our success”. 

“It shows that we are not only able to provide accurate and reliable tax compliance, but also to deliver clear, practical strategies that help individuals, families, and businesses manage complex challenges, protect their assets, and plan confidently for the future.”

Its marketing campaign showcased the firm’s expertise in professional services and how it connects with communities, educates clients and strengthens its brand.

“Winning these awards is not just an honour for our firm, but recognition of the hard work of our entire team,” explained Oscar.
