Bathgate Business Finance has triumphed in two categories at the NACFB Commercial Broker Awards 2023 – the SME Champion and Service Excellence award.

Based in West Kirby in Wirral, Bathgate specialises in both lending directly and sourcing finance for small and medium-sized businesses.

Sponsored by Allica Bank, the SME Champion Award celebrates intermediaries who have partnered with lenders to support and champion British businesses. They broker deals that have made a demonstrable and material impact to a small business.

The Service Excellence Award, sponsored by Aldermore Bank, was a new category for 2023. It was established to recognise a firm that had provided exceptional levels of service to clients, setting a standard for the industry.

Requirements for the category included being able to demonstrate a commitment to building strong and lasting relationships with clients and evidencing their ability to go above and beyond to meet the needs of SMEs.

These two wins come two years after being recognised as ‘Highly Commended’ in the CBILS Broker of the Year category in 2021, for its work supporting businesses during the pandemic.

Bathgate Business Finance managing director Gordon Andrews said: “What a great honour for the Bathgate team to pick up not one, but two prestigious national awards, having been judged by an independent panel of our industry peers.
