Developer Downing has unveiled six new apartments at its development in Liverpool city centre.

It has turned the first floor of the scheme in Hatton Garden into a mixture of one and two-bedroom units. The redevelopment is being led by Bay Downing, son of the company’s founder and owner George Downing.

Bay is continuing his father’s legacy at Eden Square, which Downing built in 2008 as part of a £15.7m development, including the construction of the deepest underground car park in Liverpool city centre.

With floor to ceiling glazing, the apartments offer mezzanine layouts with open-plan living and kitchen space, a utility room and bathroom. All of the two-bedroom apartments offer an ensuite bathroom.

Spanish porcelanosa flooring has been fitted throughout the suites, which include bespoke fitted kitchens with integrated appliances, designer bathroom furniture and electric heating systems. Amenities include a contemporary inner courtyard garden, bicycle storage, secure fob access and 24-hour CCTV.

Eden Square, located on the site of the former Hatton Garden Fire Station, comprises two visually striking towers featuring a total of 123 residential apartments. The developer has also converted the ground floor of the building into two flexi-office suites and a private gym.

Bay said: “Eden Square is a unique building, ideally situated just a stone’s throw away from the city’s business district and retail and leisure scene. It offers a fabulous lifestyle opportunity that is second to none in the city.

“We’ve already received a huge amount of interest for the apartments, which have been carefully designed to offer calm, light filled and contemporary living spaces overlooking a peaceful inner courtyard.”
