DSG welcomes new director of business development

North West accountancy practice DSG has bolstered its senior team with the addition of a new director of business development, who will help the firm capitalise on the resurgent market.

Darren Grimes will focus on supporting DSG’s specialist tax and corporate advisory team. His appointment follows a period of growth for the firm’s respective practices.

Darren qualified as a chartered accountant and chartered tax advisor with KPMG before going to work in industry. As a corporate tax specialist, he has held the role of senior corporate tax manager at Deloitte for the last six years and is also an associate member of the Association of Corporate Treasurers.

His experience working with many of the largest family owned businesses in the region, coupled with his time spent working in industry, gives him valuable insight. In addition to his extensive corporate tax knowledge, Darren has particular expertise in the areas of corporate debt restructuring, capital allowances, HMRC enquiries and international tax.
