IT services company Getronics is the latest firm to join industry body and regional cluster organisation Mersey Maritime

Mersey Maritime has secured Dutch IT services company Getronics as its newest member.

As a regional cluster organisation, Mersey Maritime represents hundreds of firms in the Liverpool city region maritime sector. Getronics is recognised as a global leader in “digital transformation”.

It traces its roots back to The Netherlands in 1887. It was an early pioneer in the monitoring and control of electrical installations in shipping and public facilities. Today it employs more than 4,000 people across Europe, Asia Pacific, and Latin America.

Serving more than 200 customers, it focuses on enhancing user experience, increasing productivity and saving costs through technology.

Mersey Maritime chief executive, Chris Shirling-Rooke, said: “At Mersey Maritime, our members are at the heart of everything we do. We work with our members, stakeholders, and government bodies to deliver our vision by providing a service that promotes change for the better.

Getronics will be hosting the upcoming Mersey Maritime Technology & Innovation Forum on July 12 at the business park housing their data centre in Runcorn.
