Global airline Emirates is to hold an open day in Liverpool city centre to recruit people to join its cabin crew. Tony McDonough reports

One of the world’s biggest airlines is holding a recruitment day for cabin crew in Liverpool.

Emirates operates thousands of flights every week. In the UK it operates 110 weekly flights from Manchester, London Heathrow, Gatwick, Stansted, Birmingham, Newcastle, and Glasgow.

On Monday, October 10, it will hold a recruitment open day in Liverpool city centre as it looks to hire more cabin crew. Dubai-based Emirates is advising people to pre-register for the event at the Holiday Inn in Lime Street. However, it will accept walk-ins on the day.

Candidates will need to come prepared to spend the full day at the venue. Shortlisted candidates will be informed of timings for further assessments and interviews on the same day. People will need to bring an up-to-date CV and recent photograph.

Emirates’ cabin crew team represents 160 nationalities and operates out of more than  130 cities on six continents It has a 200-strong fleet of aircraft and is the largest global operator of the Boeing 777 and the Airbus A380 aircraft.

Cabin crew roles will cover both hospitality as well as managing aircraft services, security, and safety procedures. Successful candidates will enter a full training programme.

All Emirates crew are based in Dubai and are offered a tax-free salary, free company-provided accommodation, free transport to and from work, medical cover as well as discounts on shopping and leisure activities in Dubai.
