Epstein Theatre welcomes new ticketing and events manager
The Epstein Theatre has welcomed a new ticketing and events manager in the form of Heidi Birchall.
The 37-year-old from Wavertree has joined the team at the Hanover Street venue following several years in London working for major broadcasters including MTV.
She said:
“The Epstein Theatre is entering a new chapter in its 102-year-old story, with more shows and a bigger selection of entertainment than ever before. There is a larger overall offering too, which sees us hosting more corporate events, such as meetings or exhibitions, as well as more personal and intimate occasions such as birthday parties and weddings.
“The whole team is really looking forward to the forthcoming months and we have high hopes for it to become an incredibly revered venue throughout the city, the nation and even further afield.”
Heidi will work alongside general manager Rebekah Pichilingi, assistant manager Angela Charlesworth and also Josh Rowe, who was recently appointed marketing manager to promote the theatre’s varied catalogue of shows.
Josh, 26, added:
“It’s a very exciting time to join the business and we have lots of activity planned. Marketing one of the city’s oldest theatres is a big challenge but one I am really relishing and I get great pleasure telling as many people as possible what we are up to.”
Since 1913, The Epstein Theatre, formally known as Cranes Music Hall, Cranes Theatre and The Neptune Theatre, has provided a wide range of live entertainment for more than 100 years.
The 380 capacity, grade II listed theatre started out infamous for its amateur dramatic groups and has now progressed to being renowned for its rich variety and diverse family programming. After a well-needed refurbishment in 2011 the theatre reopened its doors and is now a well-loved venue in the heart of the City Centre.
