Epstein Theatre will have you laughing your socks off this Spring

The Epstein Theatre has a real treat in store for comedy fans this spring with a hilarious line-up of humorous performances from top class comedians.

The iconic venue on Hanover Street has established itself on the city’s live entertainment circuit since it reopened in May 2012 and continues to attract national and household names to the theatre as part of their regional and national tours – and this spring season is no different with the eclectic and diverse comedy shows on offer.

Kicking off the comedy is no other than Paul Carroll with his Music Hall Tavern, which is back by popular demand for its third tour of the UK and Ireland on Sat 6th Feb. Join ‘the girls’ from Music Hall Tavern for a truly magnificent night of dazzling costumes, side-splitting laughter and a cast of unique characters singing and dancing all night long.

Starring Paul Carroll as Mrs T, Paul Burnham as Guapatini, Grant Koper as Miss Frankie and featuring the Showcase International Dancers, the show is guaranteed to leave you with unforgettable memories of the funniest night out of the year!

Next to have you rolling round the aisles with laughter is Jimeoin with his new show YeeHaa on Wed 17th Feb. Internationally acclaimed as one of live comedy’s masters, the Irishman from Australia is bringing his new fantastically funny show to The Epstein. The star of TV’s Sunday Night at the Palladium, Live at the Apollo and the Royal Variety Performance musters his ever-evolving live show and the most famous eyebrows in comedy. Mosey on down and lasso your tickets early!

On Sat 20th Feb, Richard Herring promises to bring the house down with his show Happy Now? After years of drifting aimlessly and alone, Richard is now settled down with his wife and baby. But is he finally happy now?  In his 12th solo stand up show, the award-winning comedy writer and performer examines whether we can ever hope to be, or are meant to be truly content.

April sees more mirth with Chris Ramsay (pictured) and his show All Growed Up on Thurs 21st April 2016. The critically acclaimed comedian, Celebrity Juice regular and star of BBC2’s Hebburn has extended his hit tour into spring 2016 after sell out audiences across the UK. Join him as he explores getting older, taking responsibility, and all of the other terrifying realisations that come with being dragged kicking and screaming into modern adulthood.
