Expert advice for expats at the International Festival for Business

Senior Government officials from the Isle of Man have teamed up with some of the UK’s leading investment management experts to host a unique seminar for UK expats and international employees.

Held today earlier this week at Quilter Cheviot Investment Management’s Liverpool headquarters, representatives from the firm addressed a large number of guests to provide specialist advice on pensions.

Forming part of the International Festival for Business (IFB), the free session was led by the company’s Regional Development Manager, Paul Ruscoe, and Global Investment Manager, John Willis.

Further guest speakers included John Garland, Head of Corporate Financial Services at the Department of Economic Development at the Isle of Man Government; Dougie Elliot and Philip Moores from Sipco/Sipp Specialists; and Harley Richards, International Tax Consultant at KPMG.

Commenting on the event, Paul Ruscoe said:

“For employers and employees alike, there’s often a large degree of uncertainty among people from overseas on where they stand with their pensions. This event was specially designed to clear up any confusion, to inform guests on the opportunities out there, and the advantages of having their financial plans in check.

Held at Quilter Cheviot’s city centre headquarters at No.5 St Paul’s Square, the seminar formed part of IFB 2014’sKnowledge, Financial and Professional Services themed week of events.

Taking place across the Liverpool City Region this week, the programme of events includes The Business of Health,UK Property Forum5th International Banking and Finance Forum, UK Business Angels Investment Summit andLeading Across Culture.
