Financial planning firm Willson Grange has taken on a record number of new employees so far in 2019, hiring a extra 30 people and taking its total headcount to 85.
The family-owned business, which moved to Prince Dock in Liverpool Waters, in September 2018 has this year appointed 13 more people to its bespoke salaried career development centre where they will train to become qualified wealth management advisers within 18 months,
Willson Grange has made two new appointments in training and development. Christine Whitehall David Gatehouse have joined as learning and development managers and Peter Ryding, previously of Scottish Widows and Lloyds Banking Group has been appointed as business development manager.
With more than 20 years of experience in financial services, Mr Ryding works closely with the new cohorts of trainees to provide expert guidance in business development, networking and relationship management.
The firm has also made 14 new appointments in administration, marketing and paraplanning. Chief executive Stuart Willson said: “We are investing heavily in the next generation of wealth management advisers.
“There has been almost a 90% decline in registered financial advisers in the last 18 years which means there is now a shortage of professionals qualified to provide advice. Our aim is to develop our own home-grown fully qualified financial advisers right here in Liverpool.
“Through relocating to Liverpool Waters and employing top training managers and talented support staff, we now have the infrastructure, expertise and resource to make it happen.”
