Former barrister and entrepreneur Sue Wright takes senior role at Signature Living

Former barrister Sue Wright has joined Signature Living

 

One of Liverpool’s best-known legal and business figures – Sue Wright – is to take on a senior role at developer and hotel operator Signature Living.

The former barrister and PR and marketing company owner, is to become managing director within the group with responsibility relating to the firm’s forthcoming Sig-Nature division and South East Asia Investors.

She will work alongside company founder and chairman Lawrence Kenwright and managing director Kris Mochrie and will have special responsibility for sourcing new site locations for development and the management of external costs.

Signature operates the 30 James Street and Shankly hotels in Liverpool and has unveiled plans for a Dixie Dean hotel in Victoria Street, opposite the Shankly. It also has ongoing developments across the UK and overseas.

Ms Wright started her career working at Lehman Brothers International Bank where she was one of the first women on the trading floor in the early 1990’s, specialising in emerging markets.

She later qualified as a barrister and returned to Liverpool to establish her law career.

As well as practising law in the city for 22 years she also launched the Ampersand PR, marketing and design agency and worked as business development director for Red Sports.

Mr Kenwright said:Sue Wright has an impressive skill set which will serve Signature Living well.

“We are a growing national business so it is important that we appoint the right people to these strategic roles.”
