National freight forwarder and logistics firm Unsworth has set up a three-strong base in Liverpool city centre.

London-based Unsworth has specialised in freight forwarding and customs brokerage for more than 50 years. It operates a number of other UK branches and also has an office in Dublin.

Its Liverpool operation will work out of Horton House in Exchange Flags in Liverpool city centre. This move is part of Unsworth’s ongoing investment in its network, which has seen the recent launch of its Heathrow branch to support air freight operations.

Mark Cox will head the team as director working with Joe Edwards joining as business development manager and Cesar Caicedo who has taken on the role of procurement manager.

Offering 25 years of experience, Mark Cox has significant knowledge of the West Africa region. Joe Edwards has held a similar BDM position at another firm for the past six year while Cesar Caicedo brings more than 25 years’ experience in logistics and shipping

“We’re excited to establish a stronger presence in Liverpool, a key location in the North West,” said Richard Hogg, the company’s chief executive.
