Graffiti Spirits Group has unveiled a new concept for its former Slim’s Pork Chop Express site in Liverpool city centre.

The independent restaurant-bar group has unveiled the space at 85 Seel Street will now be home to a new gourmet chicken takeaway, with a quirky speakeasy-style retro arcade, opening this summer.

16 Bit Chicken, the new concept will take guests on a nostalgic experience, offering food combined with a hidden retro arcade that’s packed with 16 different machines including Pac Man, Point Blank, Time Crisis and Golden Axe, to name a few.

Guests will be able to visit day and into the early hours to tuck into takeaway must-haves including fried chicken pieces and burgers. They’ll be able to either sit in or grab their food and go.

Graffiti Spirits Group operates some of Liverpool’s most popular haunts including Salt Dogs Slims, Santa Chupitos, Santa Maluco, 81 Ltd, El Bandito, Bold Street Coffee and Castle Street Coffee.

Co-founder of the group Matt Farrell, said: “16 Bit Chicken will be the first of its kind in Liverpool. We’re combining moreish takeaway food with a retro arcade that will take our guests on a journey, harking back to the days where these games were really popular.

“Seel Street is packed with bars and restaurants so 16 Bit Chicken will be ideal for a late night bite or for an alternative way to spend the night with friends and family.”
