Organised by Wirral Chamber of Commerce, the awards are free to enter, and open to all Wirral-based firms (with a registered Wirral trading address) or chamber members
Companies across Wirral are being urged to enter the Wirral Business Awards 2017.
Organised by Wirral Chamber of Commerce, the awards are free to enter, and open to all Wirral-based firms (with a registered Wirral trading address) or chamber members.
There are 10 awards including Business of the Year (three categories), Business Person of the Year, International Trade, Sustainability, People Development, Newcomer of the Year, Rising Star, and the Outstanding Business of the Year.
Closing date for the online award entry form categories is midday on Monday, June 5.
The judging panel, comprising representatives from Wirral Chamber, KPMG, DLA Piper and Wirral Council, will decide which companies or individuals will go forward to the awards final.
New for this year will be the way in which the Customer Service Award winner is chosen. The judging panel will shortlist four companies from all entries received and will then go to a public online vote to determine the winner.
More than 500 people will attend the Gala Awards Dinner at Thornton Manor on September 22 when the winners will be revealed.
Paula Basnett, chief executive of Wirral Chamber, said: “Each year the creativity, innovation and entrepreneurship demonstrated in the award applications we receive simply gets better and better.
“Wirral Business Awards ensures that the talent and success of our award nominees is recognised and quite rightly rewarded.
“We feel that the award categories reflect fantastic opportunities for all types of businesses, large and small, and I would encourage all companies and individuals to enter this year.”
Progress to Excellence Group, this year’s headline sponsor, has been joined by category award sponsors, Smylie Ltd, Stiebel Eltron UK, NW Systems Group, Unilever, Peel Group, McEwan Wallace, B&M Waste Services, The Contact Company and Wirral Council.
