A Liverpool based food retailer is delivering on its promise to improve the world one meal at a time through its one for one giving scheme.

Give Kitchen has given away 18,000 meals since launching the online arm of its plant based whole food delivery business this time last year.

For every freshly prepared meal purchased at www.givekitchen.com the team have given away a nutritious meal to a homeless person in the UK or a starving child abroad.

It has done this by supplying pre-prepared meals to homeless shelters from across the North West and making donations to humanitarian projects overseas.

This activity forms part of its goal to create an award-winning, plant based, whole food company that plays its part in eradicating world hunger.

Give Kitchen’s new eatery and organic shop, located at Brunswick Business Park, is already playing an important part of the company’s giving strategy by offering a selection of mouth-watering meals on a ‘Buy one, give one’ basis.

Supporting UK Homeless Shelters: 

Give Kitchen supports homeless shelters across the North West by supplying pre-prepared meals for service users. In Liverpool it has worked with the YMCA, the Whitechapel Centre and the Belvidere Family Centre. In Manchester it has supplied The Booth Centre, Narrow Gate at Manchester City Mission and the Brick (foodbank) project in Wigan.

Supporting international humanitarian aid: 

Give Kitchen supplies meals to some of the hardest hit areas around the world, including humanitarian disaster zones such as Syria and Sudan. It does this by making donations to projects that share its goal of ending world hunger, whilst supporting the sustainable and ongoing development of the countries in which they operate. One of its achievements to date includes supplying over 100 children with school meals for a year.
