A new Iberian-style wine bar and cafe will open in Liverpool city centre later this summer.
BoBo will take over the former Veeno site in Castle Street, which has become a food and drink hub in recent years. It will offer an all day drink and snack menu with Spanish and Portuguese influence.
Due to open in Late August, BoBo the second venue to be opened by Lucky Penny Consultants, which also operates Abditory bar, located in the nearby Queen Avenue. It will offer a private space for wine tastings, locked door dinners, celebrations, meetings or informal gatherings.
“We love the food and drinks of Spain and Portugal but didn’t want to just do another tapas joint – we want BoBo to feel a bit more modern and contemporary,” said Josh Moore, co-director of Lucky Penny Consultants.
The firm’s other co-director, Steven Burgess, added: “Castle Street is such a great location and when the old Veeno site came up, we just knew it would be perfect for BoBo.
“It is going to be like you are back in that great cafe just round the corner from that hotel you stayed in on your last city break. We want to create a neighbourhood stop for all walks of life.”
