Jackson Lees and Provenio win top Law Society awards
At the Liverpool Law Society Annual Dinner and Legal Awards 2024 Jackson Lees and Provenio Litigation were named the city’s top law firms for the year. Tony McDonough reports
Winners of the Liverpool Law Society’s Annual Dinner and Legal Awards 2024 have been revealed.
Jackson Lees Group and Provenio Litigation won Law Firm of the Year in the 50-plus employees and 1-49-plus categories respectively. In all, eight awards were handed out at the dinner which took place at the Titanic Hotel.
Guest speaker on the night was Baroness Hale of Richmond, retired president of the UK Supreme Court, about her varied career as an academic lawyer, as the first woman member of the Law Commission, and as a judge.
There was a collection for the guest speaker’s nominated charity, Freedom From Torture, a human rights charity dedicated to the rehabilitation of refugees and asylum seekers who have survived torture. More than £4,800 was raised.
Jackson Lees, part of the MAPD Group, is representing around 1,500 clients at the COVID Inquiry and has been instrumental in shaping the Public Authorities (Accountability Bill), known as the Hillsborough Law.

The Legal Awards celebrate excellence within the legal sector, recognising individuals and firms for their outstanding contributions and achievements. Winners were selected by an independent judging panel.
President of the Society, Gaynor Williams, added “Our Legal Awards not only celebrate the excellent talent we have within the legal sector, they shine a light on the individuals and firms for their outstanding contributions and achievements.
“These awards highlight exceptional talent, innovative practices, and dedication to the rule of law.”
