Jet2 and Jet2 holidays will launch a winter programme of flights from Liverpool John Lennon Airport.

Last week Jet2.com and Jet2holidays, which for years have been operating out of Manchester Airport, said they were making Liverpool their 11th UK airport with 20 new routes. The first flights will take off on March, 28, 2024 – just in time for the Easter break.

This investment from Jet2 will see the creation of at least 200 jobs. Now the company has unveiled another eight routes in a winter programme starting in November 2024 and continuing through to March 2025.

On sale from today (Thursday) the eight destinations are:

  • Tenerife (up to five weekly flights)
  • Lanzarote (up to three weekly flights)
  • Gran Canaria (up to two weekly flights)
  • Fuerteventura (up to two weekly flights)
  • Alicante (up to three weekly flights)
  • Antalya (up to two weekly services)
  • Madeira (weekly services)
  • Paphos (weekly flights)

Jet2 also offers a VIP customer service includes friendly flight times and a 22kg baggage allowance through a flight-only booking with Jet2.com.

Steve Heapy, chief executive of Jet2 and Jet2 Holidays, said: “Since launching summer 24 flights and holidays from Liverpool John Lennon Airport last week, we have seen a fantastic reaction from customers and independent travel agents.

“On the back of that, we are very pleased to be putting our first ever Winter Sun programme for winter 24/25 on sale too.

“The early release of the programme gives holidaymakers in Merseyside and the surrounding region the opportunity to book their winter sun holiday in advance and get the best choice of dates, rooms and resorts, as well spread the cost.”

In their first summer of operations from LJLA, Jet2 and Jet2 Holidays will operate up to 54 weekly flights, including 12 flights to both the Canary Islands and the Balearic Islands every week.
