KTN Entrepreneur’s Forum share ambitions for 2016

KTN Entrepreneur’s Forum, the series of events in the North of England run by Freshly Squeezed Events Agency in collaboration with the Knowledge Transfer Network, continues to go from strength to strength.

Organisers of the forum share the aim of bringing together local and regional creative, digital and tech communities to meet, exchange ideas and collaborate.

The Forum has been developed to promote and support entrepreneurship in the North and events allow businesses to network, learn and share knowledge in a social and stimulating environment.

The project has been running successfully in Sheffield for a period of twelve months and has helped attendees to build relationships, generate new business and access free advice on business funding. Organisers expanded the events into Liverpool in September, and the group has been growing and developing in recent months, receiving some great feedback from attendees:

Kathy McKay from Ideasinc said:

“KTN is the best I think Sheffield has – great speakers and extremely relevant topics that generally we only get to here in London. Thanks KTN Forum and Freshly Squeezed for bringing the digital disruptive world to Sheffield, we so need this!”

Paul Doughty from Purple Cow FMCG Ltd said:

“The networking opportunity has given me the chance to collaborate with Sheffield Hallam University regarding a new product which I am looking to bring to market, and which led to my company being awarded an initial Yorkshire Innovation Fund Grant.”

Finally, Johnny Pawlik of Mantra Media added:

“The KTN forum hosted by Freshly Squeezed is an extremely productive and engaging group of talented entrepreneurs. My active involvement within the group has lead to valuable relationships that have developed into the successful winning of important business contracts.”

Building on these recent successes and positive feedback, Freshly Squeezed has been working on new exciting developments for 2016. Some of the highlights include a monthly drop in ‘Funding Surgery’, which will be run by the Knowledge Transfer Network team to offer free advice on a range of business finance; and ‘Knowledge In Motion’, ad-hoc educational talks by industry leaders and high profile entrepreneurs, designed to stimulate, motivate and inspire. Additionally there will also be a series of online resources including news feed and a blog with advice, profiles and guides for established and aspiring entrepreneurs.
