Lauren realises her gym dream as The Zone opens its doors
Personal trainer Lauren Caffrey from Liverpool has dreamed of owning her own gym since the age of 14 and now the dream is finally a reality as The Zone opens its doors
Liverpool personal trainer Lauren Caffrey has finally realised her dream of opening her own gym.
With restrictions on indoor exercise now lifted, Lauren, 23, has opened The Zone at Unit 10, Mill Lane Trade Park in Wavertree. It is the realisation of a dream she has had since she was 14.
The 2,000 sq ft facility was inspired by her trips to New York and she has styled the gym with a Big Apple them. LED and strobe lighting set the tone for The Zone which is kitted out with the latest exercise equipment and a branded track area for prowler runs and neon lighting.
There is also a a tranquil yoga studio called The Zen and a high energy bootcamp room for The Zone Nation classes of 15 people. Both yoga and The Zone Nation classes will run from Monday, May 17, in line with Government guidelines.
In the meantime, The Zone is open to drop in day gym passes and personal training sessions with Lauren welcoming 10 new personal trainers – both male and female – to her facility.
Having worked incredibly hard during all three of the UK’s lockdowns, and switching her in person training to online, Lauren has successfully continued to grow her business and trebling her clientele. She’s used all of her profits to open her flagship gym after securing the venue on Christmas Eve 2020.
The facility also offers physio sessions, botox treatments and up-and-coming gym wear brand Sporty Lula which is available to purchase at The Zone.
Lauren, from West Derby, said: “It’s been a rollercoaster since January as we’ve completely transformed Unit 10 to bring my vision to reality.
“I enlisted the help of Calvey Restoration who have been working on the site since the beginning of January and together we’ve built a second floor, a dedicated bootcamp room, a separate yoga studio and shower facilities and I couldn’t be happier and more proud of the results.
“Opening The Zone has been an incredible experience; extremely tough and stressful at times but absolutely worth it and I’m so excited to welcome our first clients this week before we can open up our classes on 17th May. “
