Law firm Hill Dickinson wins accolade at first Maritime UK Awards
The St Paul’s Square-based firm was named Employer of the Year at the ceremony in Southampton and won the same accolade at the Mersey Maritime Industry Awards in March
Liverpool law firm Hill Dickinson was named Employer of the Year at the first national Maritime UK Awards – its second this year.
Introduced in 2019, the Maritime UK awards are the first truly national maritime awards in the UK, celebrating a thriving sector worth £37.4bn to the UK economy. Mersey Maritime was also a winner at the Southampton ceremony, being named the winner of the Coastal Powerhouse category.
The win for Hill Dickinson, which has its headquarters in St Paul’s Square in the city centre, follows on from winning the Employer of the Year award at the Mersey Maritime Industry Awards in March.
With history in Liverpool dating back more than 200 years, the firm now employs 850 people, including 185 partners and legal directors, across offices in Manchester, London, and Leeds as well as overeats in Hong Kong, Monaco, Singapore and Piraeus in Greece. Although a full-service firm it has established a reputation for excellence in maritime.
