Boutique law firm Bexley Beaumont is opening a new office in Liverpool city centre.

Bexley Beaumont is a commercial practice with clients in retail, leisure and hospitality, pharmaceuticals, logistics, property and the public sector. It says it is on course to double turnover in the current financial year.

In the last few weeks it announced it had become the youngest legal practice – and the only one outside London – to join the ranks of approved parliamentary agents. Its new Liverpool office is in Oriel Chambers in Water Street.

Finance litigation partner and head of the Liverpool office, Phil Sheard, said: “There has not only been growth in the number of clients but an increase in the size of the team too.

“We are something of a hybrid firm, balancing the quality expected of the very best traditional law firms with the kind of flexibility which allows us to support clients how and when they need it.

“That has seen us very quickly become trusted advisors to an expanding roster of businesses. We have generated a tremendous increase in work on Merseyside and the wider North West as well as much further afield.

“The new Liverpool office provides us with a further opportunity to solidify our reputation across the North West region.”

Mr Sheard joined the firm after 16 years with Brabners and Hill Dickinson. Bexley Beaumont now has 33 lawyers. Its other offices are in  Deansgate in Manchester and in the City of London.

In April, the firm was chosen ahead of larger and longer-established national rivals in the Business Growth category of the Modern Law Awards. These were set up to highlight “the successful, dynamic entrepreneurs within our industry”.

It was named Start-up Of The Year at the Business Masters Awards and was also shortlisted for Boutique Law Firm of the Year at last year’s British Legal Awards and at The Law Society Excellence in Law Awards.
