LBN unveiled as media partner for the 2018 Mersey Maritime Awards

Set to be one of the biggest events in the business calendar, the awards on March 8 at Liverpool FC’s Anfield stadium celebrate the very best of the Liverpool city region’s £4bn Maritime sector.

Liverpool Business News (LBN) has been unveiled as the media partner of the 2018 Mersey Maritime Awards.

Set to be one of the biggest events in the business calendar, the awards celebrate the very best of the Liverpool city region’s £4bn Maritime sector. In 2019, organisers Mersey Maritime aims to take the event national.

Being held at Liverpool FC’s famous Anfield stadium on March 8, the theme for this year’s awards is ‘Making Waves Globally’ – based around the fact Liverpool city region is trading on a global scale and organisers are making a final call for entries.

LBN is quickly establishing itself as the ‘go-to’ outlet for business news in Merseyside and director Jennie Lewis said the partnership with the Mersey Maritime Awards felt liked a natural fit.

“LBN is a dynamic, forward-looking media platform and in Mersey Maritime you have an industry body that is working with industry and Government to shape the UK’s post-Brexit future.

“The city’s region’s maritime sector is genuinely world class and we are proud to be associated with this year’s awards.”

Now in their fourth year, the awards celebrate excellence and achievement in the maritime sector and were welcoming back four ‘Diamond’ sponsors – Beech Group, Liverpool John Moores University, Peel Ports Group & Stream Marine Training (SMT).

Each of the award categories are also fully sponsored. People wishing to attend can also now buy tickets for the event.
